Every panel in this shade is cut and set by hand, and textured glass is used rather than flat, so each piece carries its own surface irregularities. That is what gives a genuine stained glass fixture its depth: the light passing through is broken by the texture before the colour ever gets to it, and no two panels behave in quite the same way. A printed or moulded imitation cannot do this.
The palette is warm, built around amber and orange, and arranged geometrically rather than pictorially, which keeps it closer to mid-century design than to a church window. Lit, it throws coloured patches onto the ceiling and the nearest walls, so the fixture decorates the room around it as much as it decorates the ceiling.
Two versions are offered: warm light, which suits the amber palette best and is the safer choice, and tri-colour, which lets you switch the temperature and noticeably changes how the panels read. It brings warmth, colour and personality to a hallway, a dining room, a stairwell or a bar. Indoor use only. Wipe each panel individually with a soft dry cloth.
