Glass Globe 3-Light Wall Sconce

A round backplate and two slender rods hold three glass globes, arranged so the fitting reads as a line drawing on the wall rather than as a solid object. It is a mid-century idea executed with modern restraint: nothing is decorated, and the interest comes from the geometry of the rods against the repeated circles of the globes.

Two finishes are offered. Clear glass keeps the fitting almost invisible when it is off and lets the bulbs become the feature when it is on. Green glass tints the light and gives the sconce real presence against a white wall, which suits a hallway or a dining room where one strong element is wanted. Three sources spread horizontally light a wide section of wall evenly, which makes this a good choice above a bathroom mirror, along a corridor, over a sideboard or above a bed in place of two separate reading lights.

Glass is finished individually, so slight variation in tone is normal. Bulbs are not included; a warm bulb suits the design better than a cool white one. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician. Where the fitting is used in a bathroom it must be installed only in a position permitted by the wiring regulations in your country, at a safe distance from a bath or shower, and never where it would be exposed to direct water or spray.
