French Glass and Wood Ceiling Lamp

Glass and wood in a French flush ceiling fitting, offered with an unusual amount of choice: two shade styles, three diameters, two depths, and the option of a decorative pearl chain around the rim. That last detail is the one worth thinking about, because it changes the character of the piece completely.

With the pearl chain the fitting reads as decorative and slightly romantic, and suits a bedroom, a dressing room or a period house. Without it the same fitting is plainer and more architectural, and sits better in a modern room or a hallway. Style A is the shallower shade at 16 cm deep; style B is 21 cm and fuller. Three diameters are offered at 40, 50 and 60 cm: 40 cm for a bedroom or a hallway, 50 cm for a mid-sized room, and 60 cm where it needs to be the main light in a living or dining room. The wood warms the glass and stops the fitting from reading as purely ornamental.

Made from glass and wood. Direct wired, 110V-240V, E14 bulbs, CE and UL certified. Wood is natural, so grain and tone vary between pieces. Intended for indoor use in dry locations only. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician, and the ceiling fixing must be rated for the weight of the fitting.
