Premium linen gathered into overlapping petals, so the shade opens outwards like a flower rather than hanging as a straight drum. Linen is the right fabric for this because it has visible weave and slight irregularity, which means the folds hold their shape and cast soft shadows on each other instead of looking flat and manufactured.
Three diameters are offered. At 50 cm it works over a bedside, a smaller dining table or in a living room corner. At 60 cm it has the presence to be the main fitting over a dining table. At 80 cm it is a genuine centrepiece and needs a large table, a wide seating group or an open-plan space to sit properly. Each size comes hardwired for a permanent installation or as a plug-in with a cable and in-line switch. The light passes through the linen as well as out of the bottom, so the petals glow from within and the room gets a warm, low-glare wash rather than a hard pool, which is what makes it work in a bedroom or a room used in the evening.
Linen is a natural fabric, so tone and weave vary between pieces and the petals may settle after hanging. Bulb is not included; use a bulb that runs cool, keep it clear of the fabric and do not fit a high-wattage bulb. Hardwired installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician.
