Amber Glass Flower Ceiling Lamp

An amber glass shade with a soft rounded form that opens like a flower coming into bloom, and a natural flowing texture worked into the surface of the glass. The texture is what separates it from a plain tinted shade: it breaks the light unevenly as it passes through, so the glow is mottled and warm rather than flat, and the shade has depth even when the lamp is off.

Amber is a colour that does something specific to a room. It warms whatever bulb you put behind it, so even a neutral LED reads golden through this glass, and it makes a space feel like late afternoon rather than midday. That suits a bedroom, a hallway, a dining room or a home office far better than a cool white fitting does. The French medieval reference is in the shape and the heavy feel of the glass rather than in any ornament, which is why it works equally well in an old house with timber and stone and in a plain modern flat that needs one warm element.

Glass is formed individually, so tone, texture and thickness vary between pieces and no two shades are identical. Bulb is not included. Intended for indoor use in dry locations only. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician, and the fitting should not be installed where it would be exposed to direct water.
