Flower Rattan Wicker Pendant Light
The rattan on this chandelier is not woven into a basket but into a flower: overlapping petal-shaped panels that open outward from a central point, so the shade has a defined front and reads as a pattern rather than as a texture. It is the more decorative end of woven lighting, and it does the work of a piece of art in a room that is otherwise plain.
Because the petals overlap rather than sit flush, light escapes between them at every join and throws a layered floral shadow across the ceiling. The effect changes as you move under it, which is why it rewards a spot people pass through: a stairwell, an entrance hall, the middle of a living room. Three colourways are offered. Brown keeps the natural rattan tone, beige is the lightest and all but disappears against pale ceilings, and black turns the same shape into a graphic silhouette.
Sizes run 40 x 30 cm, 50 x 40 cm and 60 x 50 cm; the largest suits a double-height space or a wide dining table, the smallest a bedroom or a hallway. Use a warm white LED so the woven strands stay golden. Indoor use only. Dust the petals with a dry soft brush, working outward along the weave, and keep the shade away from damp rooms so the rattan does not soften.
