Fan Shape Metal Ceiling Fan Light

Three spans from one design, 36, 42 and 52 inches, which covers everything from a small bedroom to an open-plan living room. The step between them is large enough to matter: choosing the right span is the single biggest factor in whether a fan actually cools a room or merely stirs the air up near the ceiling where nobody is.

It is a straightforwardly modern fixture with no decorative argument to make, which is why the list of rooms it suits runs so long: kitchen, bedroom, living room, dining room, study, balcony, yard, patio, farmhouse, porch or a common area. A fan with a strong style only works in some of those; a plain one works in all of them without adjustment.

Metal construction throughout keeps it durable and easy to wipe down, which matters in a kitchen or on a covered porch. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician, and the ceiling fixing must be rated for the weight and movement of a fan. For a balcony, yard or porch, keep it under proper cover and out of direct rain. Wipe the blades dry and check the fixings periodically.
