Wood and Rattan Tatami Table Lamp
Two heights at the same 24 cm diameter: 45 cm and 60 cm. Keeping the width constant while changing the height is unusual and genuinely useful, because it means the two versions light the same size of area but from different levels, so a pair of them on a sideboard reads as one arrangement rather than as two separate lamps that happen to match.
Tatami as a reference points at low, floor-level Japanese interiors, and the proportions follow from it: both versions are narrow for their height and sit quietly rather than spreading across a surface. The natural rattan finish keeps the whole thing pale and light; the brown is warmer and sits considerably better against dark timber or a painted wall.
It is intended for an indoor living room or bedroom rather than a working desk, since the output is warm and moderate rather than bright enough to read fine print by. Bulbs are not included. Indoor use only, since both wood and rattan take up moisture and lose their shape in a damp room. Dust the shade with a dry soft brush and wipe the wood dry, never with anything damp.
