It is a designed shade rather than a purely traditional one: the weave is handmade in the usual way, but the profile is resolved more carefully than a plain basket, with a clean shoulder at the top and an even taper down to the rim. The colour is natural rattan as shown, with no dye applied, so it will mellow slightly with time and light rather than staying exactly as delivered.
