The three sizes scale in both directions: 40 x 32 cm, 50 x 40 cm and 60 x 48 cm, so the shade gets deeper as it gets wider and the silhouette stays the same at every diameter. Ranges that only grow in width end up looking squashed at the top end, and this one deliberately avoids that. All three read as the same object at different scales.
The weaving itself is where the character sits. It is worked more freely than a regular basket weave, with the strands changing direction across the surface rather than repeating a single pattern, so the shade catches light unevenly and shows real depth from across a room. In a plain room that irregularity is the only decoration the fixture needs, and it is the reason it does not look mass-produced.
It is intended for indoor living rooms and dining rooms, and each size is available hardwired or plug-in. Bulb not included; a warm white LED suits the natural rattan and keeps the weave golden. Indoor use only, since rattan takes up moisture and will soften and lose its shape in a damp room. Dust with a dry soft brush rather than a damp cloth.
