Creative Glass Shape Island Pendant

Four shapes at one price: a rhomb at 12 x 13 cm, an oval at 8.5 x 18 cm, a rectangular form at 13.5 x 18 cm and a globe at 16 x 15 cm. All four are small, and that is the point. These are not fixtures meant to be hung alone; they are components for building a run of light over a kitchen island or a long counter.

Mixing the shapes is what makes the arrangement interesting. Four identical pendants in a row is a safe and slightly dull solution; four different geometries sharing the same glass and the same gold detailing reads as considered rather than accidental. Vary the drop heights slightly and the effect improves further, and because they all cost the same you can mix without thinking about the total.

The glass is clear with a crystal quality to it, so the bulb remains visible and the gold fittings catch the light. That combination suits a Nordic or contemporary kitchen. Bulbs are not included, since glass and bulbs travel badly together; energy-saving LED or incandescent bulbs of 60 W or less are recommended. Indoor use. Wipe the glass with a soft dry cloth.
