Woven Bamboo Straw Hat Pendant Light

Bamboo woven into the wide, low straw hat profile, in three diameters that cover most of the places a pendant is genuinely needed. The shape is one of the most practical there is for a normal room: wide enough to spread light across a surface, shallow enough to stay clear of anyone's line of sight across a table.

At 35 cm it is a compact fitting for a bedside, a hallway or a breakfast bar, and a row of three over a counter is where it looks best at that size. At 45 cm it works over a smaller dining table or a kitchen island. At 55 cm it has the spread to be the single fitting over a full table or in a living room. The weave lets light out through the sides as well as the mouth, so the shade glows around its edge and casts a soft pattern onto the ceiling rather than dropping a hard-edged pool. Each size is available hardwired for a permanent installation or as a plug-in with a cable and in-line switch.

Bamboo is a natural material, so colour, grain and weave vary between pieces and no two shades are identical. Bulb is not included; energy-saving LED or incandescent bulbs of 60 W or less are recommended. Use a bulb that runs cool and keep it clear of the weave. Hardwired installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician.
