Sculptural Bamboo Pendant Lampshade

Woven bamboo in a form that is as tall as it is wide, giving a rounded, sculptural volume rather than the flat profile of a conventional shade. Because the height matches the diameter it holds its shape from every angle, and it reads as an object hanging in the room rather than as a lid over a bulb.

Two sizes are offered, 35 by 35 cm and 50 by 50 cm. The smaller one suits a bedside, a hallway, a corner of a living room or a compact dining table, and a pair at different drops is an easy way to fill an awkward vertical space. The larger version has real presence and works over a dining table or in a living room where the ceiling is high enough to let it hang properly. Bamboo brings a warmth and irregularity that manufactured shades cannot copy, and the weave casts a soft textured pattern across the ceiling and the surrounding walls when the light is on.

Suitable for indoor use in living rooms, dining rooms and bedrooms. Bamboo is a natural material, so colour, grain and weave vary between pieces. Bulb is not included. Use a bulb that runs cool and keep it clear of the weave. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician.
