Braided Bamboo Lantern Chandelier

Braided bamboo worked into a lantern form, offered in two very different profiles from the same 50 cm diameter. Style A is shallow at 20 cm deep and reads as a wide woven disc; Style B is 55 cm deep and hangs as a tall lantern column. Choosing between them is really a decision about the room rather than about the look.

Style A suits a room with a standard ceiling where anything deep would sit in the sightline: over a dining table, a kitchen island or a breakfast bar it spreads light widely while staying clear of head height. Style B needs height above it and rewards a stairwell, a double-height hallway or a low-hung position over a table where the length becomes the feature. Both throw the strong braided shadow pattern that is the whole reason to buy a woven fitting, and both are available hardwired for a permanent installation or as a plug-in with a cable and in-line switch.

Bamboo is a natural material, so colour, grain and braid vary between pieces and no two are identical. Bulb is not included; energy-saving LED or incandescent bulbs of 60 W or less are recommended. Use a bulb that runs cool and keep it clear of the braid. Hardwired installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician.
