Each of these shades is bent by hand, one strand of rattan at a time, in the way local artisans have always made them. The black finish is the only modern move; the shape and the method are traditional. That combination is what makes it work in a farmhouse kitchen without looking like a reproduction, and equally in a coastal or bohemian room where the dark tone gives the natural fibre some weight.
Two sizes are offered, 27 x 30 cm and 35 x 42 cm, both taller than they are wide. That vertical proportion sends light downward in a narrow column rather than spreading it, which is what you want over a kitchen island or a bedside where the light should land in one place. Hung in a row of three above a counter, the narrow profile lets you space them closely without the shades competing.
Both sizes come hardwired or plug-in. Use the smaller as a bedside lampshade or in a run over a breakfast bar; the larger suits a dining table or a single spot over a sink. Bulb not included; a warm white LED keeps the black from going flat. Indoor use only. Dust with a dry soft brush, and expect to do it a little more often than with a natural finish.
