Three colours in one weave: Courtland blue, natural rattan and a pale seashell tone, worked into a herringbone so the tones alternate diagonally instead of sitting in bands. That gives the dome a soft, mottled surface from across the room and a clearly readable pattern up close, which is a harder effect to achieve than a single dyed colour and a more forgiving one to live with.
Because three tones are involved, the shade coordinates with more rooms than a solid blue would. The seashell keeps it from reading as a strong colour statement; the natural strands tie it to timber and jute; the blue is there when you look for it. In practice it behaves like a neutral with a hint of colour rather than as a blue fixture.
Three sizes are offered, 40 x 35 cm, 50 x 45 cm and 60 x 55 cm. It is handcrafted throughout, so the pattern drifts slightly rather than repeating exactly. Bulb not included; a warm white LED brings the natural strands forward and softens the blue. Indoor use only, since rattan takes up moisture, and dust it with a dry soft brush rather than a damp cloth.
