Wide Flat Bamboo Pendant in Black or Log

Wide and shallow at 60 cm across and only 16 cm deep, this woven bamboo shade sits almost flat against the eye line, which is what makes it work over a dining table or an island in a room with a normal ceiling. A deep shade at this width would block the view across the room; this one spreads light over a large surface while staying visually out of the way.

Two finishes change its character completely. The natural log tone is warm and rustic and sits with linen, pale timber and terracotta. The black version is graphic and much more modern, reading almost as a dark disc when unlit and letting the weave show only when the light is on, which suits a contemporary kitchen or a room with dark cabinetry. Both are available hardwired for a permanent installation or as a plug-in with a cable and in-line switch, which makes them straightforward for renters.
