Natural Woven Pendant with Black Trim

A natural-toned woven shade finished with a black trim along the edges, which is a small detail that changes the whole character of the fitting. Without it a natural weave can read as purely rustic; with a crisp dark line defining the outline it becomes graphic enough to work in a modern room, and it gives the shade a drawn, deliberate silhouette against a white ceiling.

Four shapes are offered so you can match the fitting to the room rather than the other way around. Geometric is angular and the most contemporary. Gyro is rounded with a pinched waist and is the most sculptural. Lantern is the traditional tapered form and suits a hallway or a dining table. Barrel is the plain cylinder, the quietest of the four and the easiest to use in multiples over an island or a long table. Each shape is available hardwired for a permanent installation or as a plug-in with a cable and in-line switch, which makes it straightforward for renters.

Woven natural fibre varies in colour, grain and texture between pieces, and the trim is applied by hand. Bulb is not included; use a bulb that runs cool and keep it clear of the weave. Hardwired installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician, and the ceiling fixing must be rated for the weight of the fitting.
