Four distinct shapes are offered under this design, from a wide shallow 50 x 26 cm through a tall narrow 25 x 58 cm to a large 55 x 68 cm lantern. They share the weave and the finish but not the silhouette, which means you can light several rooms in one house from a single range without every fixture ending up identical. Six size and shape combinations in total.
The rattan is natural and ecological, hand-woven throughout, and the skin is left smooth rather than roughly finished, so the surface has an even colour and a pleasant feel rather than the splintery quality cheaper weaves have. That smoothness is also what makes it durable: a rough weave catches and frays where a smooth one simply wears. It is the detail that decides how the shade looks after a few years.
The farmhouse styling gives a room a strong sense of space and a firmly retro character, particularly at the larger sizes. Every shape comes hardwired or plug-in. Bulbs are not included, since they travel badly with a woven shade; energy-saving LED or incandescent bulbs of 60 W or less are recommended. Indoor use only. Dust with a dry soft brush.
