Bamboo Wicker Pumpkin Pendant Light

Wide and rounded with a gently ribbed profile, the shade takes its name from the pumpkin shape rather than from anything seasonal. At 60 cm across and 30 cm deep the proportions are generous but low, so it spreads light over a wide area while keeping its own height modest enough for a normal ceiling.

The ribs are the detail that lifts it above a plain dome. Each one catches the light along its edge, so the shade has definition and depth even when the lamp is off, and when it is on the weave between the ribs throws a curved, radiating shadow pattern onto the ceiling. It suits a dining table, a living room or a large bedroom, and it is one of the few wide shades that also works well in a hallway, because the low profile keeps it clear of head height. The natural bamboo tone sits with linen, rattan, terracotta and pale timber, and gives a modern room the one warm natural element it usually needs.

Bulb is not included; use an energy-saving LED or incandescent bulb of 60 W or less that runs cool. Hardwired installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician.
