Gold Molecular Sputnik Chandelier

A two-tier molecular chandelier in brass and gold, with hand-finished opal glass globes set at the end of each arm. The arms are arranged in a balanced structure rather than a random burst, so the piece keeps its shape when seen from below and does not collapse into a tangle of stems the way looser sputnik designs sometimes do.

Three configurations are offered. Four plus four is the eight-globe version, compact enough for a bedroom, a hallway or a smaller dining room. Eight plus four gives twelve globes and suits a dining table or a mid-sized living room. Eight plus eight is the full sixteen-globe piece, which needs a large room or an entrance hall with the ceiling height to carry it. In every version the opal glass is doing the important work: it conceals the filament entirely, so what you see is a set of soft, even spheres and what you get is bright light without glare.

Glass globes are hand-finished, so slight variation between them is normal. Bulbs are not included. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician, and the ceiling fixing must be rated for the full weight of the chandelier, which is considerable in the sixteen-globe configuration.
