Wood and Glass LED Chandelier

Solid wood arms carry clear glass shades on this mid-century chandelier, and the combination is what makes it work: the wood gives it warmth and weight, the glass keeps it from feeling heavy. Two finishes are offered, a deep mahogany for rooms with darker timber and a natural original tone for lighter, more Scandinavian schemes.

The four-light version measures 58 cm wide by 34 cm high and suits a bedroom, a smaller dining table or a reading corner. The six-light version at 66 cm by 38 cm has the spread for a living room or a full dining table. Because the shades are clear, the light passes through almost unimpeded and reaches into the corners of a room rather than pooling below the fitting, which makes it a better main light than most decorative chandeliers manage to be. A warm LED bulb suits the wood far better than a cool white one.

Wood is a natural material, so grain and tone vary between pieces and no two fittings are identical. Intended for indoor use in dry locations only. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician, and the ceiling fixing must be rated for the full weight of the fitting.
