In black, that irregularity is easy to read: the tangle of strands shows as a clear graphic texture against a pale ceiling, and at night the light finds its way out through gaps of varying size, giving a scattered rather than a repeating shadow.
It suits dining rooms, living areas and bedrooms, and it works particularly well where a single ceiling rose sits over a long surface. Bulbs not included; warm white LEDs keep the black from reading cold. Indoor use only, since rattan absorbs moisture. Dust the nest with a dry soft brush, and expect a black finish to show dust sooner than a natural one.
