Three folded metal birds are caught mid-flight around a circular gold frame, arranged so the flock reads the same from every side. There is no back to this chandelier and no best angle, which is the point: over a round table where people sit facing each other, a fitting with a front would always be turned away from somebody.
The proportions suit a circular or square four-seater dining table almost exactly, and it works just as well over a round hall table, in a bay window or above a stairwell landing where it is seen from below and from the side at once. The origami folding is what gives the birds their character; the facets catch the light at different angles as it moves, so the piece has a slight animation to it even though nothing is moving. The gold finish warms the light and sits comfortably with walnut, brass, deep green and off-white.
Bulbs are not included. Hung over a table, aim for roughly 75 to 85 cm of clearance above the surface. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician, and the ceiling fixing must be rated for the full weight of the fitting.
